Veteran homelessness is a complex problem across the United States
From navigating broken systems, to battling service-related disabilities, to fitting into the civilian job market, the reasons vary for why thousands of Veterans will sleep on city streets tonight. The root causes are deeply personal, yet fundamentally systemic. And, more importantly, they are fixable.

Our straightforward solution fits in just 240 square feet
It starts with something simple: turning a key in your own front door. Flicking on the porch light. Laying down in a bed that’s yours, with your belongings safe around you. That’s more than shelter—it’s the feeling of home, and the dignity it restores.
Designed for peace of mind
Each 240-square-foot tiny home uses PTSD-informed layout conducive to healing.
Compassion without conditions
Our on-site case managers provide 1:1 support using our H.O.M.E.S. Index framework.
Free toasters, no gimmicks
Residents own the 127 items furnishing their home the moment they step inside.
Best friends welcome here
The individual-unit approach allows us to welcome pets, unlike many shelters.
U.S. Army Veteran Tracy went from sleeping in the woods to helping his neighbors in VCP Village. During his time here, the former drill sergeant regained the pride with which he served across his 23 years of military service.
Coming to VCP was the best decision of my life.

The definitions weren’t working. So, we rewrote them.
Too often, Veterans seeking help are met with paperwork, long waits, and closed doors. Rigid definitions of who counts as a “Veteran” or what qualifies as “homelessness” leave far too many behind. So, our founders did something simple but radical: They rewrote the definitions.
Who is a Veteran?
If you raised your hand and took the oath, you’re a Veteran to us. And we stand ready to help, regardless of your length of service, type of service, or discharge status.
What is homelessness?
If you’re living in a tent, sleeping in a car, couch surfing, or at risk of eviction, you deserve help now. So, whether you’re in crisis or heading toward it, we’re here for you.
Our case managers work 1:1 with Veterans to address housing barriers using our H.O.M.E.S Index framework: Health and well-being; Opportunity for education and training; Money management; Earnings and income stability; and Support network.
At VCP, we celebrate the little wins. Because those are the first steps toward big, life-changing impact.

The model works. The mission continues.
Since welcoming our first resident—an Army and Coast Guard Veteran named Marvin in 2018—this approach of giving Veterans a place to call home and the support they need to thrive has demonstrated a radically effective 85% permanent housing transition success rate.
Now, there are more doors to open. Our vision is to expand access to this proven model by building a VCP Village in every major U.S. city. And it’s your support that can help us get there, for them.
